The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 by a burning fire 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
