The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
Almighty Allah's Truth.
