Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
