The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
