The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
