Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
