The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
