Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the morning brightness 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
