Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
