Al-Mu' minoon 5 of 6
He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 78 And He it is Who multiplied you in the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered. 79 And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? 80 Nay, they say the like of what the ancients said: 81 They say, “Will we, when we die and turn into dust and bones, be raised again?” 82 We were promised such things and so were our forefathers before us. All these are no more than tales of the past." 83 Say: "If you have knowledge, 'to whom belongs the earth' and, 'whoever is in it? '" 84 They will say, "To God." Say, "So will you not pay heed? 85 Say, “Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Tremendous Throne?” 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say: 'In whose Hands is the Kingdom of all things, He protects, and none protects against Him, if you have knowledge' 88 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: how then are ye turned away? 89 In fact We have sent the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 Never did Allah take unto Himself any son, nor is there any god other than He. (Had there been any other gods) each god would have taken his creatures away with him, and each would have rushed to overpower the other. Glory be to Allah from all that they characterize Him with! 91 He knows both what is visible and what is not visible. Exalted is Allah above all that they associate with Him. 92

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
