The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
