Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
