Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
