The food of the Zakkum tree 43 shall be the food of the sinful. 44 Like dregs of oil, it will boil in their bellies 45 Like the boiling of hot water. 46 (A voice will cry: "Seize ye him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire! 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 Taste thou! thou art indeed mighty, honoured! 49 "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!" 50 Verily the God-fearing will be in a place secure 51 Amid gardens and watersprings, 52 dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, and they will face each other: 53 Thus shall it be: and We shall espouse them to fair, wide-eyed maidens. 54 therein calling for every fruit, secure. 55 They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
