Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
