Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
