The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
