Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
