The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
