The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ What are they asking (one another)? 1 About the great event, 2 Concerning which they are in disagreement. 3 No indeed; soon will they come to know; 4 Yes, indeed, before long they will learn all about it. 5 Have We not made the earth as a place to rest 6 And the high hills bulwarks? 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 and We appointed your sleep for a rest; 9 And made the night as a covering, 10 and the day as time for you to make a living? 11 And built seven strong roofs above you. 12 And have kept a very bright lamp in it. 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water. 14 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables, 15 And gardens of thick foliage. 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 The heavens will be opened wide and turn into so many doors, 19 The mountains put in motion turning into a mirage. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 In it shall they remain for a long time. 23 tasting therein neither coolness nor any drink 24 Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold, 25 An appropriate recompense. 26 Indeed, they were not expecting an account 27 And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. 28 but We have placed on record every single thing [of what they did]. 29 'Taste! We shall not increase you except in punishment' 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
