Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 'No' they replied: 'We bring you (news) of that concerning which they were doubting. 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me, 68 "But fear Allah, and shame me not." 69 They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone? 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise; 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Verily, in all this there are messages indeed for those who can read the signs: 75 That town lies on a road which still exists. 76 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. 77 And the dwellers of the wood surely were wrong-doers. 78 So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
