(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 and my tongue fluent 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and remember you often. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
