Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
