Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
