Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble recorders, 11 who know what you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
