The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
