Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 and couches raised high, 13 and goblets laid out, 14 and cushions arrayed 15 And linen spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth – how it has been spread out? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 thou canst not compel them [to believe]. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
