Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
