The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
