We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
