The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
