The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and a few from later times. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And clustered plantains, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 and upraised couches. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
