a large throng from the ancients, 39 and a good many of later times. 40 The Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 41 In scorching wind and scalding water 42 and under the shadow of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor honorable. 44 and before that they lived at ease, 45 And were stubborn upon the great sin (of disbelief). 46 It was they who said, "Shall we be resurrected after we die and have turned into dust and bones? 47 We and our fathers of old? 48 Say, "Indeed, the earlier ones and the later ones 49 Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day." 50 "Then will ye truly,- O ye that go wrong, and treat (Truth) as Falsehood!- 51 Will eat of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 and you shall fill therewith your bellies 53 And upon it, you will drink the hot boiling water. 54 Drinking the way thirsty camels drink. 55 Thus shall they be entertained on the Day of Recompense. 56 WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you thought about [the semen] that you discharge -- 58 Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators? 59 We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; 60 To transfigure you and create you in (forms) that you know not. 61 And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam), why then do you not remember or take heed? 62 Have ye seen that which ye cultivate? 63 Do you give it its increase, or are We the giver? 64 If We so wished, We could have reduced your harvest to rubble, and you would have been left wonder-struck to exclaim: 65 crying, "We have been left to suffer loss. 66 Rather, we have been deprived." 67 Behold! the water which ye drink: 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds or We? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 And have you seen the fire that you ignite? 71 Did you make its timber to grow, or did We make it? 72 It is We who have made it as a reminder and a means of comfort for the people. 73 Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
