Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 47 These Gardens will abound in green, blooming branches. 48 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 49 Therein are two running fountains. 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 In both of them are two pairs of every fruit. 52 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 In them shall be those who restrained their eyes; before them neither man nor jinni shall have touched them. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 As though rubies and pearls. 58 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 59 Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- 60 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 Two Gardens, dark green and fresh. 64 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 65 therein two fountains of gushing water -- 66 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 67 With fruits in them, and dates and pomegranates -- 68 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 69 Therein will be maidens chaste and beautiful. 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 houris, cloistered in cool pavilions -- 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 74 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 75 Reclining upon cushions green and carpets beauteous. 76 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 77 Most Auspicious is the name of your Lord, the Most Majestic and the Most Honourable. 78

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
