The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
