Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable? 3 The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity! 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast. 6 violent that He compelled against them seven nights and eight days, uninterruptedly, and thou mightest see the people laid prostrate in it as if they were the stumps of fallen down palm-trees. 7 Do you see any vestige left of them now? 8 And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. 9 They therefore disobeyed the Noble Messengers of their Lord – so He seized them with an intense seizure. 10 But We bore you away in the Ark, when the waters rose high, 11 That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. 12 So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be borne and the twain shall be crushed with a single crash. 14 So that is the day when the forthcoming event will occur. 15 and the heavens will be rent asunder, 16 And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]. 17 On that day all your secrets will be exposed. 18 Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! 19 Surely I knew that I shall meet my account. 20 So he shall be in a pleasing life 21 in a lofty Garden 22 with its fruits within easy reach. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure – the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 and that we would never knew what our records contained. 26 Oh! Would that the death that came to me in the world had made an end of me! 27 Of no avail to me is all that I have [ever] possessed, 28 "My power has perished from me!"... 29 'Take him, and fetter him, 30 Then cast him into the burning fire, 31 then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him. 32 Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 and he never urged the feeding of the needy; 34 and so, no friend has here today, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37
