Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 About the criminals, 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Until the certainty had come upon us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
