He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 or have been reminded [of the truth,] and helped by this reminder. 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 So you are after him! 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and fearfully, 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 and dense orchards, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
