Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 In the high empyrean, 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 and raised couches, 13 And chosen goblets. 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
