Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
