Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say: 'Journey in the land and see what was the end of the sinners' 69 Do not be sorry for them, nor be distressed for what they devise. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 The Lord knows full well what they conceal in their hearts and what they disclose: 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 So put your trust in Allah for you are on the manifest truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe Our revelations and who have surrendered. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
