Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
