Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Hour! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality? 3 Thamood and Aad belied the Clatterer. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind; 6 He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days – so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lout (Lot)] committed sin, 9 And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. 10 Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]. 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. 14 on that Day the Great Event will come to pass. 15 And the heaven will split asunder – so on that day it will be unstable. 16 and the angels shall stand upon its borders, and upon that day eight shall carry above them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 That will be the Day when you shall be brought forth (before Allah) and no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! 19 I was certain I'll be given my account." 20 Then he shall be in a life well-pleasing 21 in an exalted garden 22 with clusters of fruit within easy reach. 23 Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 Oh, would that this [death of mine] had been the end of me! 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 [and] all my power of argument has died away from me!" 29 (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, 30 and then let him enter Hell. 31 And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits. 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 Therefore he has not here today a true friend, 35 Nor any food except refuse, 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37
