The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
