The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
