The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
