And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here]!" 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 Go, then, with thy household while it is yet night, with thyself following them in the rear; and let none of you look back, but proceed whither you are bidden." 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. 66 The people of the town came along, revelling, 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro. 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 and turned the land upside down, and rained down stones of baked clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 Indeed, it is on a way which still exists. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And the dwellers of the wood surely were wrong-doers. 78 and so We inflicted Our retribution on them. And behold, both these [sinful communities] lived by a highway, [to this day] plain to see 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
