Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time. 30 Say (unto them): Except (your fill)! Lo! I am with you among the expectant. 31 Enjoin them their understandings to this? or are they a people conumacious? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Have they a ladder up to heaven by means of which they can overhear? Then let their listeners bring a clear proof. 38 What! The daughters for Him, and the sons for you? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are over-burdened by debt? 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 And if they were to see a piece of the heaven falling down, they would say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not.
