Al-Inshiqaaq
The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);- 2 And when the earth is stretched, 3 And it unburdens itself of all that is in it, and becomes empty. 4 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must: 5 Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds). 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 Soon an easy account will be taken from him. 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back – 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)! 14 Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. 15 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 And the Moon in her fullness: 18 You will surely go up level by level. 19 What aileth them then, that they believe not, 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 So give them news of painful punishment, 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
