Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
